The knife has a specially contoured edge which distinguishes it from the Cleaver. This Asian inspired knife, which should really be referred to as a slicer is used to cut meat or fish into small thick pieces, finely chop or dice vegetables, herbs, meats and fruits. It should not be used to chop bones. Made in Japan.
